![]() ![]() "The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition" To be absolutely clear, I ask only for the ideal settings for playing the I'd like some hand crafted suggestions from real modern players who got this game on Humble Bundle, or from those who own a Steam Deck and enjoy this game at the finest it can possibly look on the Steam Deck. ![]() Please do not link to any outside sources such as forum discussions, YouTube videos, or Reddit posts. Perhaps this is because of the various versions of the game, the dates in which the guides were written, or whatnot, so I beseech you, community, please give me your best settings for performance and graphics that you personally use. I've done a lot of Googling, and although there are plenty of guides and discussions about the ideal settings for this game, they all seem completely inconsistent. This game recently became 'free' with this months HumbleBundle choice and upon loading in, it's barely better than the Switch while using the default settings. I enjoyed this game thoroughly for the Switch, but the graphics made me very sad. No one is disputing that the enhanced version would require better hardware but seeing a game bring a 4080 to its knees at this moment in time is way out of order.Hi everyone. ![]() All new games have bugs in them that need to be worked out.Īlso, it's a mystery to me why anyone would think an enhanced version of a game should run as well as the previous version? That's just plain weird.Īlso, it's a mystery to me why anyone would think an enhanced version of a game should run as well as the previous version? That's just plain weird. I've been saying it for days now: this version is NOT a patch. THIS version is literally less than one week old. That's false reasoning.Īnd no, this game is not 4-years-old. To repeat: if you have high-end hardware, there will always be games for which you'll have to turn down settings.Ī person spending thousands and thousands of dollars on high-end hardware is NOT going to run every game smoothly. And some people WITH HIGH END HARDWARE are refusing to turn down any settings at all. Turning down settings DOES have a huge impact on performance. Sadly "runs fine for me" doesn't count as an argument. Sadly other people with different specs exist. Originally posted by JocularJosh:Sadly not everyone has the exact same specs as you. ![]()
